Benjamin Kofi Afreh is a dynamic, intelligent and hardworking young man, working with Gold Coast Securities Limited as a Senior Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agric (Economics option) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology and a license from the Securities and Exchange Commission as a an Investment Advisor’s representative.
Benjamin has attended several courses including the Securities Courses organized by the Ghana Stock Exchange; Securities & Portfolio Management course organized by the West Africa Capital Market School/Databank Group Ltd, Venture Capital & Private Equity by Euromoney Training Plc (UK), South Africa; Corporate Restructuring and Credit Risk Management by an Investment Consultant, organized in-house for some selected members of staff of Gold Coast Securities Limited.
Benjamin is also a finalist for the ACCA Diploma in Financial Management course. Currently, he acts as the Operations Manager of Gold Coast Securities Limited, as well as the Head of the Asset Management Group within the company.
As the Head of the Asset Management group, Benjamin manages a portfolio of investments in excess of GH˘6 million and the Gold Fund Unit Trust Scheme, which is worth over GH˘2 million.
As the Acting Operations Manager, Benjamin supervises the management of investments worth over GH˘40 million.
He is a strong advocate for promoting a savings and investment culture among the Ghanaian working populace by helping set up savings and investment clubs, provident funds and personal investments within companies.
Benjamin is a key member of the Gold Coast Securities Limited Investment Committee as well as the company’s management team. He is also a member of the Ghana Securities Industry Association.
Benjamin has football, reading, music and counseling as his hobbies.
