Buer is a practicing marketer with varied experience across diverse sectors: Insurance, pharmaceuticals, advertising and entertainment.
Having started as a marketing executive responsible for research at Metropolitan Insurance on a national service assignment in the year 2005-2006, Buer barely finished with his service when in July 2006 he was offered the position of a General Manager at Modele’ Afrique: a Fashion And Modeling Agency based in Dansoman.
Two (2) months into his appointment, Buer was able to turn around the face of the agency from a lukewarm one to a vibrant business, which was evident in his ability to increase the number of models with the agency from 53 to 116 as well as built on the portfolio base of the agency to include a quarterly lifestyle magazine and a monthly TV reality Show.
In November 2006, Buer took a new challenge as the Head of Marketing at LXG Studios (League of Extra -ordinary Gentlemen), an audio visual productions and advertising company. LXG makes claim to some of the best TV serials and adverts ever to be shot in Ghana and even transmitted on international networks. Buer was subsequently appointed the General Manager of LXG Studios in August 2007 with an additional responsibility of copy writing.
In May 2008, Buer took a new challenge in marketing a pharmaceutical: Sasso (a mosquito repellent) with Samara pharmacy.
Buer has a very vibrant private business life: he is a known name in entertainment marketing in Ghana. He managed the 4X4 musical group and masterminded the release of their hit single “hotgirls.com”, a song that was nominated in 5 different categories in the 2008 Ghana Music Awards.
Buer is also an instrumental member of the committee mandated with the Right by the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry Of Sports to electronically raise money for the Black Stars in the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
